25 Days of 2025 Movies: Marty Supreme

Alright now to my first movie in theaters for 2026: Marty Supreme! I really enjoyed this one and I think so far it’s in my top 10 movies that were released in 2025! This is about Marty Mauser- a wannabe ping pong champion from New York City and his journey to get to Japan for the Ping Pong Championship…but basically he tries to live outside his means and the budget that he’s given from the ping pong association. Timothee Chalamet is really good in this movie. He’s really funn

25 Days of 2025 Movies: Anaconda

Okay- now for the last movie I saw in theaters in 2025… Anaconda! This is a comedy horror movie reboot of the movie Anaconda from the 90s with J.Lo and Ice Cube… who are mentioned a lot in this movie. So Paul Rudd plays an actor struggling to keep his roles and Jack Black plays a man that wants to direct- but right now he just has a comfortable living making wedding videos. Paul Rudd says he has the rights to Anaconda and he and his friends go to the Amazon to make a reboot/

25 Movies of 2025: Weapons (rewatch)

Okay so I know I reviewed Weapons already in my Horror Movies post in October- but at that point I had seen the movie weeks before I wrote the post. Plus this was one of my favorite movies of the year… I needed to watch it again. I think I actually liked it more the second time watching it- which surprised me! My boyfriend did not like it as much after watching it a second time… but I think I liked it better. I genuinely think at the beginning of the movie- this is one of the

25 Days of 2025: Highest 2 Lowest

Okay- onto a movie I didn’t realize seemed to have some negative reviews- the Spike Lee remake of the Kurosawa movie from the 1960s. Both of these are based on the book The King’s Ransom where a rich man has his son kidnapped- but then instead they kidnap a worker’s son to try to get money from the rich man. In Highest 2 Lowest Denzel Washington plays a music producer who’s planning on putting money towards a big deal coming up. So when I watched this I hadn’t seen the origin

25 Days of 2025 Movies: Bugonia

This one I missed seeing in theaters and I was upset about that- although it wasn’t in theaters around me for too long. This is a Yorgos Lanthimos movie starring Emma Stone of course and in this she plays a CEO who 2 men who are cousins that live on a farm kidnap and they accuse her of being an alien that killed their whole family. This is actually a remake of a South Korean movie that also sounds really good… but honestly if you’ve seen Yorgos Lanthimos movies and know how w

25 Days of 2025 Movies: Ella McKay

Ella McKay was probably one of the worst reviewed movies of 2025… but was it that bad of a movie?? Yes- kind of. For context: I saw this movie in an Empty theater on Christmas Eve at 9am… so my boyfriend and I talked through the whole movie and commented about how bad it was. If you’re lucky enough to see this movie like that… it’s very worth seeing. If you aren’t… I don’t think it’s worth it. The real crime of this movie was sort of the pacing or the editing of the movie… th

25 Days of 2025 Movies: We Bury the Dead

This is the first post of 2026… and it’s an interesting one. This I saw as a Scream Unseen and I thought it was going to be Anaconda… but I didn’t realize Anaconda was PG-13 and this movie said it was rated R… so the only movies it could realistically be otherwise were Primate- which is showing a little bit later and there is another Scream Unseen before then AND an indie movie I want to watch called The Plague but I don’t think that will be playing at my theater- so I was su

25 Days of 2025 Movies: Avatar: Fire and Ash

I gotta say… wasn’t a big fan of this one. I’m not a huge fan of the Avatar movies plot wise… but I do think they’re beautiful visually and the first two I liked enough. There were some problems with them- but overall I was really excited to see this one- I thought it was going to be a fun movie… and I was disappointed. I know there’s a lot of discourse about Cinefiles saying “this is a bad movie it’s the same as Avatar Way of Water… stop enjoying it.” And that is mostly what

25 Days of Movies from 2025: Wake Up Dead Man - A Knives Out Mystery

I loved the original Knives Out and I thought the sequel was good- but it didn’t really match the charm of the original movie… I was excited for this movie because I thought it sounded as good as the original… and i’m not exactly sure why- but this one just didn’t work for me. I think it was my least favorite of the Knives Out Movies and my least favorite mystery so far. I love Benoit Blanc and my favorite part of Glass Onion was the sort of focus on his life… but this one di

25 Days of Movies from 2025: The Roses

The Roses looked like a fun semi- rom com semi dark comedy that I wanted to see in theaters but didn’t get a chance to- and i’m kind of glad because I’m not sure I would have liked it in theaters as much as I liked watching it at home. This is a remake of the movie War of The Roses- but it has different characters and a different story. i’ve never seen War of The Roses and I didn’t know the ending of that one… so I was surprised at the ending of this movie- but it does end in

25 Days of 2025 Movies: Zootopia 2

I am so excited to say this is probably my favorite Disney Movie of the year so far... it will probably end up staying that way I'm sure. It's my favorite in a while too. I wasn't the most excited to see this movie- but I did really like the first Zootopia and I think I actually like this movie even more! So this movie has Nick and Judy working their first case as partners- and they're still rookies- so they are trying to do more than what their boss wants them to do- but eve

25 Days of 2025 Movies: After The Hunt

This is the movie I was actually the least excited to watch of the year and I think it was the movie that I understood the least about... so that definitely biased my opinion going into this movie- but after watching it I can say I enjoyed aspects of it. This is a film directed by Luca Guadagnino who is a popular director that I have yet to see a movie I actually enjoy from him. I think this movie is my favorite so far despite the pretty bad reviews it got. Which I can unders

25 Movies in 2025: Rental Family

So this year I’ve seen a lot of movies in theaters- I’ve actually seen 32 movies in theaters this year at the time I’m writing this… and there were some I missed that are on streaming now and some that I’ve watched and will watch again. This one was the 32nd movie I saw in theaters this year- and I’m glad I saw this one! So this movie stars Brendan Frasier as an actor that moved to Japan and was starring in a lot of commercials and he was just kind of trying to get by and sti

25 Days of Christmas Movies: It’s A Wonderful Life

I don’t think i’ve seen this movie in a few years- and I actually didn’t finish watching the movie last night- I still have about 30 minutes left… but it was too late at night and it’s Christmas Morning now so I just wanted to write this now. This is probably one of the best movies of all time if not the best movie. I really love everything about it. I love seeing George Bailey’s life and how much he helped Bedford Falls and everyone he knew. It’s sad to see the world without

25 Days of Christmas Movies: All 3 Versions of The Grinch

I watched all 3 versions of How The Grinch Stole Christmas and I liked them all… but I have some favorites! How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carey) So this was the first Grinch that I watched and I haven’t seen this in a little while. My mom doesn’t really like this one that much- but it used to be one I watched every year and I really like it! I still really like the movie- I remember seeing the trailer for it and the behind the scenes things that they’d show on shows lik
