25 Days of 2025 Movies: Anaconda

Okay- now for the last movie I saw in theaters in 2025… Anaconda! This is a comedy horror movie reboot of the movie Anaconda from the 90s with J.Lo and Ice Cube… who are mentioned a lot in this movie.

So Paul Rudd plays an actor struggling to keep his roles and Jack Black plays a man that wants to direct- but right now he just has a comfortable living making wedding videos. Paul Rudd says he has the rights to Anaconda and he and his friends go to the Amazon to make a reboot/ spiritual sequel to the original movie.

I thought this movie was pretty funny- it wasn’t the funniest ever but it was a fun movie to see… the one thing I kind of didn’t like about the movie was that they pretty much constantly dropped storylines or had Maguffin’s that didn’t really do anything for the movie. I don’t want to spoil it too much because I still think this is worth seeing if you’re interested in seeing the movie… but I was a little disappointed.

I thought the actual anaconda was really good in the movie- it was scary and surprising and I liked how they ran away from it… but the best moments in this movie you probably saw already in the trailer!
