Top 5 Songs in January

Okay I thought I'd do this this month. These songs were not released in January necessarily I just wanted to talk about some songs I've heard this month that are important.

  1. I'm a Believer by The Monkees- I've heard this song soooo many times this month. I feel like I almost never hear The Monkees version but I heard this a lot and I love it! I wrote about it yesterday.

2. Cool Jerk by The Capitols- I heard this at a diner after hearing I'm A Believer for the third time in a week... and I was exited to hear this one because of Home Alone 2. Obviously I sang this to my boyfriend the same way Uncle Frank sang it and I even said "Get out of here you nosy little pervert or I'm gonna slap you silly" ... which he also thought was funny.

3. You've never had Chocolate Like This from Wonka- I saw Wonka this month and I liked it a lot. This was a great song and kind of the most Wonka of it all.

4. I'll Be There For You by The Rembrandts- Actually, it's not The Rembrandts version of the song I'm thinking of- it was the performance from The Emmy's tribute to those that we lost this year... I cried because I love Friends and I miss Matthew Perry a lot.

5. Unwritten by Natasha Beddingfield- So I saw the movie Anyone But You and they played this song a lot in the movie... and the cast sang it in character at the end credits of the movie and it was great.

And those are my songs that highlight January 2024 to me!

Bye!
