Sitcom Saturday: Is Janet The Best Tv Character

Sooo… I haven’t watched The Good Place in years and I will watch it again this year with my Sitcom binge watch athon…. But I’ve been thinking about it and… I think of all the characters on all the sitcoms… one of the best characters has to HAS TO be Janet from The Good Place!

The Good Place can be kind of a heavy show at times but it’s never really hard to watch and laugh at… and I think that might be because of Janet. Janet just kind of balances the funny and the serious stuff. Plus the character is just so odd and funny that it’s very unique to The Good Place. Every show has one standout character- even if it isn’t the main character of the show… and usually they’re all kind of similar… but Janet is unique.

If you haven’t watched The Good Place- Janet is kind of like a robot that knows everything and can get you anything you want… but she’s also not a robot or a living being… and she will remind you of that. Plus there’s a lot of different versions of Janet. There’s Bad Place Janet, Disco Janet… and I think there are other versions too. All played by the same actress and all basically have the same purpose but a different attitude.

The main Janet of the show is also more sophisticated than the other Janet’s because she was rebooted several times… so she can love and create humans and it’s pretty funny and great.

So all in all… I’m excited to watch this show again and the one big standout of the show that I’m most looking forward too… is Janet. I’m also pretty excited for Derrick after seeing Jason Mantzoukas on Brooklyn 99 also.

And the show reminds me a lot of Brooklyn 99… so I’m excited to watch it now that I’ve watched Brooklyn 99 all the way through. I don’t think this will be my next watch- it’ll be a little further down the line ( I’m currently watching Superstore and I plan on watching Veep after) but this is definitely one I’ll watch again!

Bye!
