Shannon’s Adventures: Maybe the Real Dune Was The Friends We Made Along The Way

So I already wrote my review of Dune Part 2… but seeing it was more of an adventure than my normal movie going so… let’s talk about that!

There’s only one imax theater at my movie theater and since this is a re-release there were only a few showings… and I had to work and close the store. Fortunately- we close early on Sunday’s so I still had time to make the 9:20 showing of Dune part 2.

So my boyfriend picked me up from work at closing and then we had a late-ish date night! We ate at Shake Shack and on Sundays in April they have a special where you can get a free Chicken Sandwich with a purchase… the only thing was we both wanted burgers… so since it was free anyway we just ordered the sandwich with the Korean Barbecue burgers and took it to go… and the only problem with that was that it took a little longer to make the 2 burgers and the chicken sandwich.

We were a little worried it wasn’t going to come out in time for us to make it to the movies in time… but it did! So we ate the burgers- left the Chicken sandwich in the car in a ziploc bag I had from my lunch box and then we went to the movies.

The theater was pretty empty at 9:20. I think there were some other showings… but there wasn’t a line for popcorn and soda which we did still get even though we had a lot of food at Shake shack. End of the night popcorn wasn’t the best… but some pieces were really good.

The movie was really good- but it did end really really late since the movie was almost 3 hours… and it was slightly uncomfortable after working a full day at work… BUT it was still worth seeing in IMAX even late at night… and I would do it again… even though I was tired the next day… it was really fun!

Bye!
