Shannon’s Adventures: Birthday Edition!

So I always like to take the week off for my birthday week at work. It’s great that I can do that- and I don’t typically go on vacation during this time… I might do like a long weekend or something next year- but for now I wanted to enjoy places around me!

So basically since I started dating my boyfriend I’ve wanted to go pumpkin picking… but a lot of times there’s bad weather or I’ve gotten covid… or something happens that prevents us from picking pumpkins. This year the weather was gorgeous, and he was able to get the day off too- so we went there!

We actually started the day at The Bagel Nook in freehold because I’ve tried their cannoli bagel before- but I’ve wanted to try more from them too… and we ended up getting A LOT from them. There was a mix up with one of our bagels- so we got a sandwich with the dorito bagel, we got a bagel called The Davie with veggie cream cheese and I got a flat everything bagel with the cool ranch cream cheese- and a hash brown. The Flat Everything with the cool ranch cream cheese was awesome! I wanted to try it with the Dorito bagel- but I think I liked the flat everything bagel more. We also got a brownie and their K Cups… it was all amazing. I’d like to try their coffee some day- but their bagels and cream cheeses are really great! The service was very friendly too and they were very helpful after the mix up… it was really nice.

After that we went to Battleview Orchards to pick pumpkins! We both got smaller sizes of pumpkins… we picked them out right away and took some pictures and it was BEAUTIFUL!

Here’s a pic of me in the Pumpkin Patch- they also have apple picking there- but we didn’t do that. We just got our pumpkins and that was good!

After that we went to Freehold Mall- they have a lot of stores I like there and I wanted to treat myself a bit for my birthday! I got some things at Sephora, Ulta, Boxlunch and we went to the new Miniso they have there! We also went to the Five Below there- and the Five Belows by me are really stocked with their Halloween stuff right now! I ended up getting a lot of the little Wednesday figures that they had out… these were so good! And I was debating getting the Wednesday Monster High Dolls… but I have to say I like these little figures wayyy more.

I got a few Wednesday and Beetlejuice things for my niece too (and my mom ended up going to five below to get her some things there too). Anyway that was really a good trip to the mall! I was excited about everything!

After that my boyfriend took me to Moonstruck in Asbury Park where I ate my favorite thing ever: the rigatoni with pumpkin and goat cheese!

And I made a special Junk Journal page for my birthday and that was exciting!

I put some of the stickers I got at 5 below- you can see the Wednesday figure packaging and the Sesame Street figure- the Wednesday figures weren’t mystery- but I got Rave’n Wednesday, Enid, Eugene and Pugsley… and the Sesame Street figures I got were Bert and Ernie!

Great little adventure for my Birthday!!!
