Okay- today is Halloween and because I've watched more than 31 Spooky Movies and because I love Ranking things... I'm going to rank all of these movies I've reviewed this month. So I have 33 movies to get to- and I'm going to start with the worst one and go to the best... so if you want recommendations skip to 20... but yeah. Let's get ranking!

33) The Home

Okay- obviously at the bottom of the list is The Home. All but 3 of these movies are the first time I'm watching these movies... and most of the ones at the bottom are "Oh no, I cannot watch this one again." In fact- I think watching this a second time would ruin the movie because the beginning was genuinely spooky and I was liking it for a while. But I would say avoid this at all costs and I won't ever watch it again.

32) The Woman in The Yard

This one isn't that memorable. I liked the beginning of this movie- I like the concept and I think we need more daytime horror movies... but this just wasn't very good. It's slow, forgettable and depressing.

31) Late Night With The Devil

This one got some good reviews... I'm not a big fan of Possession movies, I didn't think this had the best story, I didn't like the use of AI Artwork in some of the logos... I've heard this get genuinely good reviews- but I was disappointed overall.

30) Obsessed

This isn't really a horror movie- but it is a thriller and it was a fun watch but it's not the best and I can't really recommend it at all.

29) Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers

So this one is technically just called Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers- I just put the 6 at the end to distinguish it as the 6th Halloween Movie. This has a young Paul Rudd- but the movie itself was just boring.. it didn't make much sense. This was also the last of Donald Pleasance so I would say if you're a fan of his you should watch the movies for him alone... but I didn't like this trilogy and I thought this was the worst.

28) Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

The first of the trilogy was good but it wasn't much better. Each movie sets up interesting concepts but they drop them pretty much immediately in the movie that follows.

27) Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers

This just starts in a silly way and it's a little more entertaining to me than the other movies. And they were doing things a little more interestingly with the Final Girl from the last movie being killed early on... It tried for sure... but it just didn't really deliver.

26) Halloween Resurrection

I thought this would have been a good movie if it wasn't a Halloween movie. I liked the part where they're filming a web series and there's a real slasher in the series... but it isn't that good. A lot of people say this is the worst Halloween Sequel and that's fair- it's kind of unnecessary but it's sort of okay.

25) Dead Silence

I actually thought this was a pretty good movie from the 2000’s but I wouldn’t consider it a must watch or anything like that. It’s fun but it isn’t great. It gets a little boring in the middle and it is kind of unintentionally funny. I would probably watch this again when I’m in the mood for a scary funny movie.

24) Final Destination: Bloodlines

This isn’t a great movie- but you kind of need to suspend your disbelief to enjoy Final Destination movies as a concept. I also kind of want death to be an entity or something to look at during this. Even like a skeletal figure or something like The Bullet from Hamilton. Tony Todd’s last performance was amazing.

23) M3Gan 2.0

I loved M3Gan and I wish I liked this one better but it’s not even really a horror movie. The character development was good but there’s better movies on this list!

22) Good Boy

I was impressed with the filmmaking aspects of this movie and I loved the doggy- but the plot was a little weak overall.

21) Him

I had fun seeing this at the theater on opening night… idk why this was just a fun movie and I thought Marlon Wayans was amazing. This is worth watching- I dont agree with the bad reviews. It’s not the best but it’s good!

20) Gretel and Hansel

So before I watched some of the Halloween movies I actually had this ranked higher but in hindsight I did really love it but it isn’t the most memorable movie.

19) Suspiria

I liked this one too and it was stylish but not super memorable. I still like it and would recommend it. It’s a good movie to watch during a rainy night or something.

18) Halloween 3: Season of The Witch

I liked this movie! I think it was a bit boring at times but if this was just a regular movie I think it would be a classic- But because it was a Halloween movie without Michael Myers it lacks something. I’d still watch this- it’s a super Halloween-ish movie- and I liked the original vision of having the movies all as different Halloween stories.

17) Halloween Ends

I just reviewed this. I like it- I’ve seen it twice… it was a little boring the second time watching it and a weird choice for the Halloween Blumhouse trilogy.

16) Terrifier 3

I really liked the Terrifier movies- I would watch them next Halloween and Christmas again. I wasn’t expecting to like them either. This one was just my least favorite of the bunch… but it was still pretty good.

15) Halloween Kills

So when I watched this initially I was like “oh yeah I liked that more than the 2018 Halloween. I liked the kills of this one.” But… there are other Halloween movies I liked better than this.

14) Terrifier

The first of the Terrifier movies was a really fun gory movie. I know there’s a lawsuit going on now from the actress that plays Dawn so that might have affected how I ranked this movie… but I still like it overall and I would watch Terrifier 4… but I also need to convince my boyfriend to watch the first three movies with me otherwise I have to see it alone which is scary.

13) The Craft

On my original ranking I had this ranked criminally low… and I actually really loved this movie and will 100% watch it again next year. It’s a good one- and deserves to be in the top 15 lol.

12) Halloween H20

This is one of the best Halloween sequels. I really liked the characters and the location of this one and after the Thorn trilogy- it was a great watch.

11) Halloween 2

This movie was kind of crazy because Michael Myers did it all in one night!!! scrooge voice of course he can! Of course he can! (Sorry can’t help it with the Christmas Carol for Halloween reference.) So yeah this one isn’t my favorite but it’s pretty good. Plus it’s a good way to compare the quality of the Halloween movies- did I like it more than 2? As much as 2? That’s how I judge it.

10) Halloween (2018)

This was a really good sequel and I think it’s one of my favorite Blumhouse horror movies. I haven’t seen that many I guess but I really liked this one.

9) Seed of Chucky

I love Glen/ Glenda and I love Chucky. The Chucky tv show made me appreciate all the movies a little more because I think Don Mancini is a genius… but this was a good one. I love Chucky!

8) Terrifier 2

This was my favorite of the Terrifier movies. I really like Sienna- she’s a great Final Girl. This was a really really fun movie! It was really scary, the kills were brutal, the ending was great… this set up the world of Art a little and it showed us how we can defeat him! Great movie overall!

7) I Saw The Tv Glow

This one was really good and I saw it at a time in my life where my life changed a lot… and it’s a good movie to watch for that. I love Justice Smith, I really like this director also. Plus as someone that grew up watching a lot of paranormal type shows that I still love today… this was a special movie. The ending kind of gave me the chills.

6) Monkey

I’m a little disappointed this movie isn’t in my Top 5 because I loved it so much… but I saw a lot of really good movies this year. This one I think was my biggest surprise of the year.

5) Bride of Chucky

Again I love Chucky. My boyfriend thought this one would be number 1 for sure and I did really love it and I’ll probably watch it again soon… but there’s a lot of great horror movies!

4) Together

This was a surprise and a great date night horror movie. My boyfriend and I saw this just a few weeks before our 7th anniversary and it was perfect!

3) Practical Magic

This was a movie my boyfriend watched together around our anniversary too…actually that’s kind of a theme of this lol. Practical Magic was really fun. It’s one I haven’t watched in a while- but I think I need to make this a yearly fall-time watch!

2) Halloween

There are so many references to Halloween in every horror movie… I almost think it would be impossible to have those movies without this movie. It is the original slasher movie… and it’s great.

1) Weapons

Weapons is in my Top 4 of the year. It’s definitely my favorite I watched in this challenge. I’m probably going to watch it again soon because I just got the Blu Ray. This is a fun and funny movie that’s also really scary. I hope they make a prequel and maybe some similar movies like this with the same characters.

That is everything! I hope you guys liked this challenge. I had a lot of fun watching all these movies and reviewing them for you! I have a lot more movies I’ve watched that I’m going to review! I hope you guys like it!

Bye!
