New Hobbies? Collecting CDs and Cassette Tapes

Okay- long time no post- next month I will be doing a horror movie or spooky movie review every day... maybe I'll include books and shows in that too I'm not exactly sure- but anyway today I very randomly wanted to talk about something I've been doing lately.

So I do have a record player and not too long ago I got a CD and cassette tape player- and a radio all in one- and I've finally gotten into using it. I love going to local music shops and record stores... there are a few stores that aren't too far from me... but overall I just kind of like having a few cds and cassettes in with my records. I have a lot of cds from when I was younger- I've gotten rid of most of them I think- but I do have a few and it's pretty easy for me to find them at a good price. I really love the way that cassette tapes look so I've been collecting those just kind of for the aesthetic. I love the way the album covers look on the tapes. I found a Sheryl Crowe tape at my favorite record store lately and she just looks so gorgeous on the cover and it's just cute.

I don't think I'll be collecting too many tapes or cds- but if I see one I like for a good price... I'll get it. I like the thrill of looking at music shops, I even found Britney Spears Circus at Barnes and Noble recently... so that was pretty exciting. When I first got my record player I was really looking for that record- and I've kind of stopped but... it's nice to see them.

One thing I'm not that into but maybe I will be... buying new cds from new artists... especially at the full price. Like I love new artists and listening to a cd of them is very easy and I would like to buy them... but I would kind of rather have the record of it. I also love K Pop music... but I don't know that I understand getting K Pop cds with all the extras. I have one from BTS and I loved the extras that came with it- but I'm not going to hang the poster up anywhere- I don't really know the members of the band enough to have the photo card... and the cds take up so much space. I've been looking at the Rose one because I do really like her... but I just haven't picked it up yet because I don't think I'm the demographic for it. I want to show my appreciation for the music... but I'm more of a record collector than a cd collector... at least right now.

So that is everything. I will try to post some more this week- and I know I was posting my vacation stories before my break- so I will post some more about that when I can... and yeah!
