May Diaries 10: More TikTok Drama

Sooo I saw another TikTok commentary and I was like “ohhh boy that’s messy.”

I saw Reyah the Last Dragon talk about this and a woman has this really unique engagement ring that she loves… and she was telling her husband that she loved it and he said “ohhh yeah so and so did too” and then she was like “wait this was the ring you proposed to so and so with” and… yeah.

So as she found out- the ex had the ring custom designed and she picked out the stones and everything so that was very much her ring… and she couldn’t get the ring that she really wanted because he said it was too expensive… so he just gave her another girls ring??? Eek that’s yucky.

In Reyah’s video she mentions people feeling like she’s a back up he’s settling for because he couldn’t marry the ex fiance because she realized that she was gay. And I could see how she would feel that way. I don’t think I could be with a guy that would give me someone else’s ring… but I don’t know this girl- Belle I think is her name. I don’t know her husband… she seems happy with him and this is just something that maybe made sense to him.

The thing I don’t like is that if I’m understanding correctly the husband told her the ring she wanted was too expensive and that it didn’t make sense to sell the Ex’s ring because he wouldn’t make money on it but if she wanted the new ring she would have to buy it herself… HE TOLD HER SHE HAD TO BUY IT HERSELF. That sucks if I’m understanding that correctly… which maybe I’m not… but no. A woman should never under any circumstances 1) have to wear a hand me down ring 2) be told to buy herself her own ring.

So it sounds like the husband is getting her the ring she wants now and she’s wearing the original ring on her other hand… but man. I could not. I get that jewelry isn’t worth ending a marriage over…and that men don’t understand these things but… wow.

Soooo yeah google this if you try to find the original video or look up articles about the situation… I just saw Reyah’s video and decided I had to talk about it there.
