How to outsmart the teacher

Okay so in fifth grade a lot of times there were special things that could only go to a few kids or something. The pen pal thing I talked about yesterday, each kid had to have a different state. And one time Miss New Jersey came to speak to us and she gave us a few signed pictures and the teachers asked who wanted one- and then we would have to pick a number that she was thinking of in order to get it.


Now... my teacher always picked 5. I think I could have guessed the number anyway because I am typically good at things like that... but she ALWAYS picked 5. Like I think she picked 5 twice at least when we've done this a few times in a row. So my trick was to always pick 5.


I think a few kids caught onto this because... we were in fifth grade. We weren't dumb- we could see the pattern.
