So I was so excited that this new ice cream place called The Baked Bear opened up in Asbury Park recently and I was really excited to try it. I was slightly disappointed by what I picked out… but I still think it’s a good place.

So first off- I liked the cookie more than I liked the ice cream- and you can buy the cookies by themselves. The cookies were better than Crumbl cookies in my opinion. Crumbl cookies kind of all taste the same but these tasted different and you could tell they were good cookies. I got the Nutella Cookies with the Caramel Pretzel Fudge ice cream. I didn’t get much of a Nutella Flavor from the cookie- but it was still a really good cookie. I would order the cookie again but I would probably try something different next time.

The Ice Cream I would not order again. My favorite ice cream store is Sundaes, and one of my favorite flavors has little pretzel balls in it. In this one the pretzels were pretzel rods and they just get soggy in the frozen ice cream and it’s not great. Maybe it was just my batch- but I don’t think that type of pretzel works well in ice cream.

So overall I wasn’t overly impressed by it- but I would still go back. Possibly just for the cookies, or something different but I would go back! My boyfriend got a churro flavor- I think it was the ice cream that was churro and the cookie was cookie butter- it might be the other way around… but his was over all really good.

Also my ice cream looked like a butt.

Bye!
