Foodie Tuesday: Chili’s - Favorite National Chain Restaurant

I think out of all the national chain restaurants out there- Chilis has consistently been a favorite of mine... even though they've changed their menu a bit since I've started going there and prices are a bit different... and not everything is worth getting... there are a lot of things that are worth getting at chilis!

One thing that has always been the same are the Classic Nachos and the Chips and Salsa. The classic nachos have always been my favorite appetizer, they're always so good and they're good if you get them to go too. Even if you have to heat it up- it's still pretty good!

The chips and salsa are good too- Sometimes when I've gotten it to go it's really spicy! And sometimes it's a little watery... but it's still really good.

I used to really love their Original Chicken Crispers- which were battered like a fish and chip batter... and while I kind of miss that one- now that they've changed the Chicken Crispers- I feel like I've had more consistently good Chicken Crispers. I also like that they have options with the sauces they serve with it- and they also have Ranch that comes with it too! And they're served with fries and Mac and Cheese now... and the Mac and cheese is really good!

They also have really good iced teas and lemonades at Chili's... and I really like them. I usually ask for extra syrup if I just order an iced tea- But the tea lemonades are good and the regular lemonades are good. I've never actually tried one of their alcoholic beverages that I can remember... but other than that everything is pretty good!

I kind of like their burgers too and they have some good burger flavors. There are better places to get burgers- but if you're at a chilis and you want a burger- they have really good ones!

The one thing I usually end up disappointed in is the smokehouse combo. They do have good barbecue at chilis and you can get good things on the smokehouse combo menu... but anytime I order it I'm a little disappointed and I wished I just get a regular menu item.

And the desserts are always good! I haven't gotten dessert at chilis in a while, but the Skillet Cookie and the Molten Lava Cake are really good. They also have a cheesecake which is easy to take to go if you want to!

Overall- I like Chili's- it's not a bad place to go to or even take out from!

I recommend going if it's been a while since you've been there!
