December Adventures Week: Traveling to NYC during the holidays!

Okay- so my next adventure for the week was going to New York to see Elf The Musical with my boyfriend, my sister and my niece.

So we typically go up by train, but my sister typically goes up by boat… and my boyfriend and I had always wanted to go up by boat and we’ve had bad luck going to see matinees from the train- plus… we had kind of had it with NJ transit for the time being so the ferry was a good idea! We left from the highlands location and we went to the pier 11 location… which isn’t the closest but my sister knows how to get to Times Square and Broadway from there a little bit better.

So after a quick stop at Starbucks we were off to the subway- which my niece didn’t like but it was easy and quick. Then we had a nice lunch at Juniors- I got the bacon cheeseburger which was really good but really filling. We also had a chocolate mousse cheesecake for dessert and it was really good! Juniors is a great place to go in Times Square because it’s relatively affordable and they’re always pretty quick there- unless it’s the weekend before Christmas and they forget to call your name- which happened when we saw Beetlejuice.

Also Junior’s is just a minute away from the Marquis Theater which is where elf was playing- so thats where we went.

The matinee got out just in time for us to take a few pictures, get on the subway, grab a second Starbucks and get the boat back to where we needed to go!

The boat ride home was fun and my niece saw another kid that she was peeking at her behind the chairs and it was cute.

Alright so I will have my review of Elf tomorrow- it was great… great cast and great effects!

So yeah overall it was a great time!

Bye!
