Canada Trip Day 2: Shopping and Hanging Out

Okay our first full day in Canada! We started out with breakfast at a cafe just a little walk away from our hotel- the Bliss Caffeine Bar. They have a sit down breakfast and they have a to go spot to get pastries and coffee. There were some kitchen issues the days that we went- but there was a lot that we could still eat and I got the Orange Chai waffles- which were so good and so fresh.

After that we went shopping… and Spring Garden road has a lot of shopping! Yesterday I posted about what I got from a store called Jennifer’s- which is their big souvenir shop… and they were so nice and I did get a lot from there.

We also went to Starbucks- not to get coffee from but I got some Canada mugs for myself, my mom and my sister.

I forgot about this but this was the day we went into Dartmouth and I went to a comic book shop that happened to have everything I liked in there… so that was fun. We also went to Lost World I think- which had records, game stuff and vintage toys. That was a really cool store with nice people working there- my boyfriend got an Alfred Hitchcock record- which was awesome! And we ate lunch at a crepe shop that was really great too! There was a festival going on too so there was a lot going on here!

After all that we chilled out and had a home cooked meal with my friends family! Overall it was a really nice first full day!

Ohhh I do think this was the day we realized that the chrome cast was not working at our hotel… which is kind of a bummer because my boyfriend and I love to watch movies and tv while we’re on vacation! The power also went out completely this night- which was crazy. My boyfriend saw a truck fixing it so it wasn’t out long and they did have generators… so everything was good- but I’d never had the power go out at a hotel before! So that was interesting!

Bye!
