Can I Solve It? Only Murders in The Building S4 Episode 2: Gates of Heaven

Okay so this week we go to the west tower of the Arconia with our favorite trio and we meet some new suspects and get some more clues.

“The Westies” 🐖 🎄🃏

Okay so we learn across from Charles’s apartment he can see 4 rooms pretty well. There’s “Stink eye Pete” a guy that always gives him the stink eye- which it turns out is a man named Vince Fish who has chronic pink eye and has to wear an eye patch sometimes. There’s also the sauce family- who just stir sauce all the time at all hours of the night- which as we learn the sauce family mom has a crush on “Brazzos” who is also her hall pass… much to her husband’s dismay. There’s also Christmas- All- The- Time Guy who’s always working out- always leaves his Christmas decorations up and has a Christmas sweater on. There is also an apartment that always has its blinds shut but the lights go on and off. This we find out is the Dudenoff apartment- which appears to be nearly vacant but the Westies are very secretive about it.

The westies also gather together to play a game called “oh hell” and they take a slice of a rare ham imported from Portugal whenever they need a “hit”.

Oliver and Mabel go to the Dudenoff Apartment to investigate- and they see a Ham Radio, and a live pig. They also find tinsel, a footprint and paint chips- which means that the painted-shut windows must have been pried open.

Do I think any of this is suspicious? I was maybe a little suspicious of Vince Fish because no one has caught his pink eye… BUT honestly- they were very welcoming to Oliver and Mabel and it just didn’t seem like they were hiding anything… other than that they didn’t want them in the Dudenoff apartment.

Charles 🕵🏼‍♂️

Soooo we learn that Charles was likely the intended target of the sniper- which Saz was suspicious of and she told Jan about that. We also see Jan who escaped from prison and sneaks into Charles’s apartment because of the secret tunnels at the Arconia that they talked about in season 2 of the podcast. And Jan told Charles that Sazz really loved him and that’s why she never killed him.

Sazz

We learn that Sazz was going to break up with Jan- which they may have mentioned last season… we also see that the message she wrote Charles said “Tap In” in blood and we learn that she started a poker game with some of the cast and crew of Brazzos because she knew Charles needed friends. She did a lot for him and Charles really misses her.

So that is everything. I guess next week maybe we’ll meet Christmas All The Time Guy? I think our Hollywood friends are coming back too… so we’ll see. I’m still a little more suspicious of the Hollywood crowd than I am of the Westies- but we’ll find out next week I guess!

Credit clues

We see that the opening credit clues have the portugese ham hanging from the bathroom and the closing credit clues have a pig that is moving- and it may be on a leash or with a prod and we also see the cards- which may be a clue to the game of Oh Hell.
