Today I'm ranking every movie I've seen that came out in the year 2025! I'm not going to say much about the movies because there are a lot and I've already reviewed them... so I'll try keeping this brief. There are 65 Movies on this list and I'm going to start at the worst movies.

  1. War Of The Worlds

This is Ice Cube yelling at a computer for a feature length movie made the 2020 restrictions way... so it's kind of garbage.

  1. Love Hurts

This one hurt so much to watch I couldn't even finish it. It probably isn't the worst movie on this list- but I could finish every other one and this one just wasn't worth it.

  1. The Home

Pete Davidson stars in this cheesy horror movie with too many bad twists- that also feels like something that's been done already.

  1. Wolf Man

This one was just boring. Not the Wolf Man I wanted.

  1. The Woman in The Yard

Not a bad concept- but the ending was bad- and it wasn't good enough besides that to really recommend watching.

  1. Oh What Fun

This was a feature length amazon ad with wasted talent and not many laughs. I might watch this again next year- but it was forgettable.

  1. Happy Gilmore 2

This wasn't terrible... but it was forgettable... and I just didn't really like the opening.

  1. Better Man

I didn't hate this movie but I don't really think it needed to be made and I can't really recommend it.

  1. Another Simple Favor

I loved the first movie but I wanted something different for this one and it didn't deliver.

  1. Flight Risk

I was kind of excited for this one and it was really lacking in the suspense the trailer promised.

  1. Death of a Unicorn

I didn't really dislike this movie when I saw it in theaters- but it just wasn't that great in a year of great movies.

  1. M3Gan 2.0

I loved the first M3Gan movie- and I wish this one had more of M3Gan as a horror villain instead of an action hero.

  1. Materialists

This was one I was kind of looking forward to because it looked ridiculous and I liked some aspects of it but overall it was annoying and they don't really give the characters enough development.

  1. Avatar Fire and Ash

I'm not a huge fan of these movies- but I do love the world of Pandora and this one just didn't ad anything to the world and I was not a fan of the plot.

  1. Ella McKay

This movie felt like it was written by an inspirational quote generator. I miss slice of life movies like this but this just wasn't the best... although this was my favorite movie going experience of the year because I saw it with my boyfriend on Christmas Eve in an empty theater.

  1. A Very Jonas Christmas Movie

This movie was fine for what it was and I'll probably watch it again- but I forgot about it when I did my original ranking and in a year of great movies... this one is number 50 lol.

  1. The Last Showgirl

This is a good movie- there are just so many moments where the characters are a bit odd. It might just be the way it was written or something but it just had too many awkward moments for me to rank it higher- despite the amazing performances in this movie.

  1. The Naked Gun

I've gotta see this one again because it is not that bad and it was great to see a genuine comedy movie in theaters and I loved Liam Neesan and Pamela Anderson in this. I don't think its fair to compare this to the original Naked Gun- but it's hard not to. Also I know I ranked 2 Pamela Anderson movies in the bottom of this countdown... I love Pamela Anderson I hope she's in more movies and shows.

  1. Tron Ares

Plot wise- I would rank this lower but seeing this in Imax was incredible. The Nine Inch Nails soundtrack and the Imax 3D effects in this movie were great enough to make up for a bad plot and Jared Leto's acting.

  1. Captain America: Brave New World

This one was okay... I don't really remember most of this movie. I think I'm ranking it a little bit higher because my parents watched it and they had fun watching it.

  1. Cleaner

I watched this one randomly with my boyfriend and my parents and it was a more fun watch than I expected. I like Daisy Ridley so I was glad to see her in this... not a must watch and not a hidden gem- but better than I thought it would be for sure.

  1. Wallace and Gromit: Vengence Most Fowl

Not a bad cartoon- but there are better cartoons on this list.

  1. Dogman

Again- I think I'm just not really the target audience for this and I don't really have a lot of highly ranked cartoons on this list despite the fact that I usually love Animated movies. I think if you like the Dog Man books this is fun.

  1. We Bury The Dead

I saw this as a Scream Unseen that I was thinking could be Anaconda... but this was actually a pretty fun Scream Unseen and the audience I saw this with was good. Another Daisy Ridley movie!

  1. Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere

I might be a little bit biased for this movie because I was seeing this in the closest major theater to The Stone Pony and many of the filming locations in this... so my audience was packed and it was a fun watch. Also fun fact: There is a scene where they briefly show a green Fridge in Springsteen's house. I'm pretty sure that fridge belonged to my grandmother.

  1. Him

Loved Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers in this and it's a fun movie but it just wasn't the best overall.

  1. Elio

I just didn't really like this one... and I typically love Pixar movies- but this one seemed to have some changes in the development of this movie and I think the movie overall suffered from that.

  1. Anaconda

This was the last movie I saw in 2025- The Last Showgirl was the first one actually... but I thought this one was funny- it just wasn't really the funniest and best movie ever. Also the line for the Stranger Things Finale while I was watching this was insane- I had to leave the theater for a second just to see it.

  1. Final Destination: Bloodlines

I might slowly watch all of the Final Destination movies. This one was really good-it's on a lot of people's favorites lists... it's just not my favorite.

  1. The Phoenician Scheme

This was a fun movie and I've seen a lot of Benicio Del Toro movies so I'm a big fan. I also love Wes Anderson. Fun movie- watched with my boyfriend, my parents and my Nana.

  1. Good Boy

This was a little bit boring of a movie but I loved watching how they made the movie- which they showed at the end of my showing. Loved this one.

  1. Highest 2 Lowest

This was a fun Spike Lee movie that was a remake of a 1963 Kurosawa movie. I love Denzel and I think they could have had him do more in this movie. I still liked it- but it could have been a little better.

  1. After The Hunt

This is a movie I've thought about a lot after I watched it. I wasn't looking forward to seeing it- but it wasn't as bad as I thought from the trailer.

  1. The Amateur

My boyfriend and I joked about this movie a lot while it was in theaters because we were trying to see a lot of movies this year and this one seemed to be one that people gave a solid 2 or 3 too... and while I don't disagree with that I was actually surprised at how good the movie was.

  1. The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

This was fun to see the Looney Tunes back in a movie. I'm glad it did well enough that Coyote vs. Acme is being released- and I hope they release more. Also un-cancel Pepe La Pew... I get that consent is important but the world is too dark to cancel a cartoon skunk.

  1. Lilo and Stitch

My niece's favorite movie of the year- and it was cute I just didn't like the end of the movie.

  1. Shelby Oaks

This was another Scream Unseen movie and this was one of the only ones where we kind of knew what the movie was and we were excited for it. I was a bit disappointed but I think I need to see this one again.

  1. Bugonia

I might do a Yorgos Lanthimos week on my blog and I might re-review this just because I think it'd be good to see again knowing how it ends. Loved this movie.

  1. Drop

I feel like I ranked this one too high- Bugonia is definitely a better movie than this one... but I think this is an easier one to watch and overall it held my attention a little better. I also watched this in theaters- so that might be one reason why I liked this better.

  1. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

I didn't like this one as much while I was watching it- but while sitting on it a bit... yeah this was a good movie. I guess I should watch it again.

  1. A Minecraft Movie

This didn't hold my attention that well either time I watched this and I'm definitely not the target audience for this one- but I definitely thought this was going to be the worst movie of the year but it was really good. I should also mention when I saw this in theaters- it was basically empty except for one family who snuck in a McDonald's Minecraft Meal

  1. Novocaine

I was a little disappointed in this one- but it was still really fun and Jack Quaid is a good actor. This was a week I saw movies basically every day that week and this one was my most anticipated and it wasn't really my favorite.

  1. Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning

Good end to the Mission Impossible franchise... I saw this so late at night and after working so I should watch it again.

  1. K pop Demon Hunters

Another of my niece's favorites of the year... great movie, great soundtrack.

  1. Roofman

This was a fun movie I saw in a small theater and I liked it a lot. Channing Tatum is a great actor.

  1. Mickey 17

My most anticipated movie of the year- and one I enjoyed watching it was just a little more disappointing than a lot of others. This was a surprising year for movies so that also surprised me.

  1. The Roses

This was a fun movie and I really liked the characters in this one.

  1. Freakier Friday

This was another fun one- it was a lot funnier than I was expecting and another favorite of my nieces.

  1. Thunderbolts

This was a good movie to see in theaters and it held up when I watched it at home too.

  1. Fantastic 4: First Steps

This is the easiest Marvel Movie to watch I think. It's kind of comforting, it's also very new and the plot is high stakes but not too heavy.

  1. Companion

This was so fun and another Scream Unseen. The first one I had ever seen actually and I really liked it!

  1. Oh, Hi

This was a fun movie I just saw after I had ranked most of the movies on this list. Most of the movies I saw recently are ranked pretty high on the list- this is a good date night movie and it's a dark comedy that deserves some recognition.

  1. Together

This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year- and I think it lived up to my expectations. I love a weird original horror movie.

  1. Rental Family

This was a cute movie that I had fun seeing in theaters and I actually saw my cousins and my aunt in the theater too- which was funny.

  1. The Monkey

I love The Monkey... I was not expecting this to be good- I've watched it twice and reviewed it twice on this blog already so it's definitely a fun one.

  1. Black Bag

This was another unexpected surprise- This was the first of the movies I saw during the time in the year where I basically lived at the movie theater. I didn't like it as much my second watch but it was really fun.

  1. Marty Supreme

This was actually the first movie I watched in 2026 and I loved it. Marty is a frustrating character- but this is just such a crazy movie and stuff just keeps happening.

  1. Zootopia 2

This was another movie I wasn't really expecting to be as good as it was- but I loved it.

  1. No Other Choice

I just watched this one and it definitely is one of the best I've seen this year. A great dark comedy- it's in theaters now so definitely see it.

  1. Frankenstein

I had heard some bad reviews from this movie- don't listen to them this movie was great. As good as I had thought it would be!

  1. Friendship

Very Funny movie- one I was really looking forward to seeing and it's one of the funniest I've ever seen.

  1. Weapons

I liked this one even more watching it a second time around- I think my boyfriend liked it less the second time watching it... but this was a fun surprise.

  1. Superman

One of the absolute best movies this year- Superman. This was great and maybe my favorite comic book movie? I have to rewatch the Nolan movies.

  1. Sinners

I kept going back and forth between this and my number 1 pick for the year... this is my favorite Original movie of the year for sure and I definitely wasn't expecting this to be one of my favorites... but it was so good and it's even better the more you watch it.

  1. Wicked for Good

What a great way to end the Wicked Movies... they could make more of these and I'd obviously still watch it but I think this was a great way to end Elphaba's story and the music was great... the original songs weren't my favorite... but I liked this even more than the first movie! Plus this comes out on blu ray today so I'll have it in a few hours!

Bye!
