30 More Days of Movies: Wicked

Alright before I review Wicked for Good- I’ve got to share my thoughts about the original Wicked. In yesterday’s post I thought this was the movie I would have up on Friday and that I’d post my Wicked for Good post on Saturday… but I had posted my knowing review Thursday- so then Wizard of Oz was Friday- this one will be Saturday’s Post and tomorrow I will hopefully post my review of Wicked for Good. I haven’t seen it at the time I’m writing this yet- but I am seeing it by the time this is published! So hopefully I can put my review up tomorrow!

Anyway- I loved this movie- I love the play and I’ve seen this movie so many times already… but it was nice to see it by myself and while I was at least mostly giving my full attention to it. I usually miss some parts at the very beginning but this time I paid attention to them.

I’m glad that they waited to do this movie because I think the cast that they have and with Jon Chu directing it made the perfect movie musical. I’m glad that Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have such a good friendship, the clip from the premiere where Ariana Grande gets jumped by a fan and Cynthia puts her body in between the fan and Ariana to protect her… that was incredible. I also think both ladies are incredibly talented as singers, actresses and their comedic timing is great. Overall I just really love them in this movie and I’m glad it was them that got to bring these characters to life.

So yeah overall I still love Wicked and I’m excited to see Wicked For Good! I’ll try to post my review on that tomorrow!

Bye!
