Alright- so I wasn’t sure whether or not to include this because I already have a full review on this on this blog from when it first came out… but it’s available on Blu Ray now and to stream on HBO Maxx and I watched it a second time with my parents on Blu Ray.
So I knew my parents wanted to see it- but our WiFi went down briefly and our television provider right now is YouTube TV- so we couldn’t watch TV without WiFi- but we could still use our Blu Ray Player… so I grabbed that and I knew they wanted to watch Superman… so that’s what we watched!
It was just as exciting the second time watching it. I love that it starts out not with Superman doing something heroic- but from him actually losing a battle and recovering from a loss. Everything in this movie happens really quickly- but not so quickly that you have to catch it from the beginning in order to enjoy it. My mom came in later on during the movie and she sat down and loved it. I’ve seen it already- but my boss gave me a phone call during it and I was able to just keep watching and enjoying. It’s not a bad thing- the movie is just very easy to follow. It isn’t like when you go to the bathroom during the movies and everything is suddenly different.
I also kind of knew what to look out for this time- so I was kind of enjoying the scenes differently than I did in the theaters. Like in the theaters I really liked Mr. Terrific so this time I made sure to really tune in to his scenes. It was just nice to know what to expect in the movie and to kind of watch it from that point of view.
There are also a ton of character actors in this from other tv shows. My parents were excited to see Captain Wagner from Elsbeth in the movie. They also both watched Mrs. Maisel and liked seeing Rachel Broshnahan as Lois. It was fun to watch it with my parents who have seen the other Superman movies and have read the comics too I think.
So that’s everything- I might try to do this with other movies this month too… I want to watch Weapons again- but I just posted my review on that last month.
Bye! -Shannon
