30 More Days of Movies- Springsteen: Deliver Us From No Where

Do I know much about Bruce Springsteen? No. Do I live like 10-30 minutes from most of the places in this movie? Yes. I think my New Jersey citizenship would be revoked if I didn't see a movie about The Boss, and I don't want to live anywhere else.
So aside from this movie being filmed local to me- I believe some of the set design of the movie used to belong to my grandmother. This movie started filming when my mom and uncle were selling things of my grandmothers- and one of the buyers was someone that does set design for movies... and we think maybe this movie was one of them. And there is a old fashioned green fridge in this movie for about 3 seconds in Bruce's kitchen- and my grandmother had an old fashioned green fridge... so that's the real reason why I wanted to see the movie- but also because it's New Jersey and it's Bruce Springsteen.
So I'm pretty sure this movie was probably mildly popular in other parts of the country- my theater was almost sold out- I actually got the last good seats in Imax to see it... so people were buying Imax tickets to see Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen. It might have been one of the only movies a lot of people have seen. I think movies about music and biopics typically do well in my movie theater- I think someone rented out a theater when the Bob Marley movie came out.. When Yesterday came out it was hard to get tickets... it makes sense to me that people by me really wanted to see this movie- and it is the closest major theater to the Stone Pony... so that also makes sense.
Okay- sorry for the rambling- this movie is a little bit boring- but it was better than what I think the reviews are saying. I thought Jeremy Allen White was a great pick to play Bruce. His singing was really good- he didn't quite have the Jersey Accent down... but he wasn't bad. I was surprised.
If you want a lot of drama or a lot of problems with a singer... this isn't really the movie for that. His life is pretty normal, he doesn't really have a lot of problems- just some depression, and perfectionism issues... along with not the best home life. If you like writing, I think this movie is really interesting because it shows his writing process and he takes a lot of inspiration from things and uses it to tell something personal.
My mom used to work at a Borders and usually when it snowed and the store was not that busy- Bruce Springsteen and his wife would come in. He read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies and TV shows- so seeing him write Nebraska after watching a movie about a crime story made a lot of sense to me.
Over all- I don't think this movie is that interesting if you're not thinking of seeing it to begin with... but if you like writing or you're a fan of Springsteen- this movie is pretty good. I don't know if you need to see it in theaters- but it would be worth streaming for sure.
Bye!
