30 More Days of Movies: Father of The Bride Part 2

Okay- I liked this movie even more than the first Father of The Bride! The concept might be a little harder to believe... but it ends up being such a funny comedy and it has a lot of what I liked about the first movie and just kind of elevated it to somehow be funnier and more heart-filled.

So in this movie- Annie- the daughter that got married in the first movie- finds out that she's pregnant... and Nina (Diane Keaton) is very excited and of course George (Steve Martin) is freaking out. And while he's freaking out- the family decides to sell their house and move to the beach... but they end up moving out before getting a new home... and Nina finds out that she is pregnant. So Nina and George are becoming Grandparents and parents at the same time. Plus each of their kids was kind of a surprise with several years between each of the kids... which is kind of funny too.

So this is really just so funny to see Martin Short's character Franc throw a baby shower and design a baby room at their house... which spoiler alert- they end up moving back into their old house with a hilarious cameo from Eugene Levy. We also have George trying to take care of both women in his life... plus this movie really had Diane Keaton's Nina in it more and I think that really made the movie better.

So overall- I think this is a perfect sequel. It takes the characters in a very different scenario and it adds on what I liked in the first movie without really overdoing anything. It's just a funny movie that just makes sense and I would totally watch this again at any time!
