30 More Days of Movies: Cheaper By The Dozen 2

So as a kid I saw the first Cheaper By The Dozen movie- But I was a little older by the time the second one came out- and it seemed less cool to see a Cheaper By The Dozen sequel… so I had never actually seen it. And even though I liked Cheaper By The Dozen- I didn’t love it. I don’t think I owned the dvd and I think I watched it again but not a lot… so I didn’t really think it needed a sequel and I wasn’t really that excited about it. After seeing Father of The Bride Part 2 and hearing that it’s a surprisingly good follow up to the first movie… I did get more curious about it.
So before I get too critical about this movie- I should mention that most of these movies aren’t being watched all at once. Most of the time I’m starting a movie late at night and then finishing it either before I go in for work or a little bit later. This one- I started and then I didn’t finish it until a couple of days later… so that might have effected my opinion a little. I also wasn’t paying the most attention to the end of this movie because I was inflating an air mattress, and vaccuuming my room… it was being paused quite a bit so I don’t really know that I experienced this movie the best way I could.
I did still like the concept of this movie overall and I thought it was a good sequel to the movie… and there is a good amount of character development for everyone in the movie. I also thought it was really funny- Probably even funnier than the first movie… I did really like it. There’s just something about the movie as a whole I was a little disappointed by… and I think it’s just because I saw a TikTok raving about the movie saying it was a great sequel. If I hadn’t seen that post- I would have had pretty low expectations for this one and… I don’t think I would think it was disappointing or bad… but because I saw that one TikTok… I just kind of didn’t really like it as much. It just felt like another movie to me that did a good job… but we didn’t really need it. It did develop the characters so I guess we kind of did… but it’s still just kind of a movie.
So those are my thoughts. It was pretty good overall just not the best.
Bye!
