25 days of Christmas Movies: The Santa Clause Trilogy!

I enjoy these movies- but they aren’t really my favorite and I don’t watch them all every year. I think usually I try to watch one of them a little bit- but it is a good trilogy. I think all the movies have their problems- but they’re all good in their own way.
The Santa Clause
So this one starts the movies and it’s a little weird and a little sad because it seems like Scott becomes Santa after another Santa dies and he takes the suit from him for no real reason.
This one sets up the rules pretty well and there are some funny scenes of Scott becoming Santa that I really like. This one is a little bit dark for me- but I do like it and I think I saw this one in theaters as a kid.
The Santa Clause 2
This is the one I remember the best and I watched the most growing up- this came out when I was in middle school ish? Maybe a little earlier but this made me believe in Santa even though I was older. The North Pole in this one just felt really real and the magic was there. I don’t know if this one was necessarily my favorite this particular watch… but I do think it’s funny to. The part with Molly Shannon singing the I Feel Like A Woman Christmas version is so funny to me. My boyfriend and I were going out somewhere and I was like “can we watch this scene first” so we did and it was great. I watched it again later on to pick up where I had left off before but yeah this was a funny movie and a fun watch.
My boyfriend also thought that Santa would have loved the Molly Shannon Character if the movie took place today cause she’s not and quirky.
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
So this movie isn’t one I grew up with. I think I was in high school or college when this came out and I didn’t see as many movies back then… and this one just looked annoying. I was wrong- this was as magical as the other movies and I think it’s a little funnier.
I love Martin Short and he’s great in this as Jack Frost/ Santa Clause for a bit.
I also thought the joke of the North Pole being Canada was funny and I liked that they kept that joke the whole movie.
I feel like there’s a lot of lead up to Jack Frost becoming Santa in this movie and it felt really fast when I first watched it- but I appreciated the build up more on this watch and I thought it was great!
That’s everything I hope you guys like it!
Bye!
