25 Days of Christmas Movies: Red One

A new Christmas classic that was just released last year… did I like watching Red One as much the second time watching it? I kind of did I guess.

So this is an action comedy where Santa gets kidnapped and they need Chris Evan’s- who is like a hacker who was somehow involved in his kidnapping to help find him. This has an insane cast,The Rock, Chris Evan’s, Bonnie Hunt, Lucy Liu, JK Simmons, Kiernan Shipka, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and a brief cameo from Nick Kroll. This is my most used movie in the game Cine2nerdle- just for reference. It does stump people sometimes.

I love any Christmas movie that shows the North Pole and how Santa does what he does- and I like this movies take on that. The north Pole isn’t shown the most in this movie- but it is still cool to see the behind the scenes. Santa and his helpers are able to travel through toy stores throughout the world, and they have something that will grow or shrink the toys- so when they need a car in the movie- they just get a toy and make it life sized to grow the car. That’s also how Santa gets through the chimney unnoticed and gets the toys in also which I thought was cool.

I also really loved the villains of this movie- Gryla the Christmas Witch and Krampus is sort of a misunderstood hero in this movie and when I saw this in theaters- the crowd loved Krampus! It was a really fun group to watch the movie with!

So that is everything! I hope you guys like this review! I need to catch up on watching movies so I’m not sure what I’ll post tomorrow… but we will see!

Bye!
