25 Days of Christmas Movies: Prep and Landing+ Olaf’s Frozen Adventure

Okay so today I watched all 3 of the prep and landing movies- plus the short- Operation Secret Santa and I watched Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.

Prep And Landing

This was a funny movie… I just don’t like the ending of it.

So Wayne has been working in Prep and Landing for a long time- they’re the elves that help Santa get ready to deliver the presents… they make sure the houses are prepped for him to land and deliver presents. I think that makes sense and it’s really cute. I don’t always like how corporate they make the North Pole look- But this is cute and it has fun characters.

So I like this movie but I don’t really love it because at the ending Wayne could get promoted to his dream job… but he tells Santa no, he’s more of a prep and landing guy… which makes sense but that notion that “the work is rewarding enough” is kind of dangerous to me. Wayne should know his worth and any kids watching it should also know their worth.

Prep and Landing 2: Naughty vs Nice

Okay this one is probably my favorite of the three Prep and Landing movies out now just based off the concept. I wish that Lanny had a bigger role in this one because it’s more about Wayne and his Brother Noam (I think that’s his name) and they have to work together and then they both get Elf of the year and Lanny gets nothing… so… that’s my big issue with the movie.

Other than that I like the concept of this one a lot- I like the little girl that tries hacking into their system and almost gets every kid on the naughty list. This one was fun.

Prep and Landing: Snowball Protocol

This one was pretty funny but it felt like an afterthought.

In this one something embarrassing happened and Wayne invokes Snowball protocol so that Lanny can never mention it again. Santa calls Lanny to the office and then Wayne after and Wayne tells Santa about 2 other times Snowball Protocol was invoked. One where they were taking care of Magee’s pet seal and one where they were on vacation and Magee was a little uptight. It just felt like something was missing or that one of these should have been the main story. I think they had other ideas for another prep and landing before coming up with this one- which is probably why the story telling aspect happens.

I still liked this movie- I’ll still watch it again but it just seemed like a weaker subject than the other movies… but it’s still funny and fun to watch.

Prep and Landing: Operation Secret Santa

So I think this was the first one I ever watch- there was a compilation of Disney Short movies and one of them was this one I think. It’s just a short and it has Betty White as Mrs. Clause looking for a present for Santa Clause and… it’s just really sweet. I loved Betty White as Mrs. Clause in this- I wish she had more voice acting roles. This I think is the sweetest of all the movies.

And I have to say- I like how these are animated… after watching them all back to back I do quite like the characters and the world of Prep and Landing… they’re not the best movies out there but I like cartoons and Christmas cartoons are always fun.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure

This one I really like. I didn’t like Frozen that much when this first came out and I still really loved this Christmas Special and I thought Olaf was really cute in it. I had this cute stuffed Olaf and it said “it’s That time of year” and my niece would smile at it when she was a baby. So this is a cute, nostalgic chirstmas movie for me and I love the music in this… and the music is Christmas-y!

Okay that is everything in my Newer Disney+ Christmas specials. I really like these movies I have fun watching them!

Bye!
