25 Days of Christmas Movies: A Christmas Story

One of my favorite Christmas Movies when I was a kid I had kind of gotten tired of as an adult… it isn’t bad at all but there are so many Christmas movies that I like a little bit better that this one hasn’t been as much on my every year must watch list… but I think it might go back on there. It’s pretty funny, it’s iconic and I think it’s a pretty perfect Christmas movie.

So my favorite thing about this movie is that it’s about the days leading up to Christmas and the excitement behind it. Like every little thing has a touch of Christmas in it or something just because that’s what things are like so close to Christmas. Especially when you’re a really young kid.

I also like that there are so many big funny scenes in this movie that it’s like one right after the other and each scene is really funny. Like I always think of the tongue getting stuck on the pole and the leg lamp, but there’s also the part where Ralphie says Fudge and when he visits Santa and Santa kicks him down the slide- and the bunny costume! All really funny.

It also makes me nostalgic for when I watched it with my grandpa who also wanted a Red Rider BB Gun when he was a kid and his mom also told him he’d shoot his eye out. He thought this was really funny movie and we’d usually watch it together at some point on Christmas or Christmas Eve.

So overall- I’ve gotta watch this one more often! It’s a cute and funny Christmas movie and I wish I lived closer to a Raising Caines to get one of their special Christmas Story toys.
