2023 Check In

Alright guys- I was going to do a review for Avatar: The Way of Water today... but I still haven't seen that movie yet- so even though it's only 7 days into the new year... let's do a check in.

So I bought a pack of little notebooks. Why? I kind of want to take a more journalistic approach to some of my posts here. I kind of want to take notes when I review movies or when I eat something really good. Not just for this blog specifically- but in general I like remembering what exactly I liked about certain movies. Like I loved The Batman when it came out but- I don't know that I could tell you my favorite scene if you asked me now!

I have also been using a planner a lot! I always fall in and out of love with planners- but I found a nice Japanese planner that I really like. It's called Pagem it's from a well known brand called Nolty- they have a few notebooks on Amazon but my boyfriend got me this one when we went to a Japanese Book Store and Stationary store in NYC.

I haven't had time to read 100 pages a day like I initially wanted too... but I think I might make that more of a priority in the coming months. I've been cleaning/ rearranging and reorganizing things so it's hard to do both... so the 100 pages thing might wait till February or so... or till a less busy week.

I also got an iPad which is exciting! I have a keyboard for it and my pencil should be coming today at some point... I like that it's bigger than a phone and easier to write on but less bulky than a laptop. I'm a fan!

And I'm doing exciting things this month! I'm seeing They Might Be Giants in concert- there are some restaurants I want to try and some things I think I want to do... so that's something im looking forward too... it seems like a good start to the year!
