25 Days of 2025 Movies: Frankenstein (2025)

This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year and I was so nervous to watch it because I’ve heard really mixed reviews. My cousins who are Horror Movie Experts really liked it so I was excited to watch it based on that recommendation.

I definitely don’t understand why people didn’t like it at all. I thought it looked great, all the actors in the movie did a great job… I’m pretty sure I read Frankenstein in High School… but I don’t remember it that well… but I did watch the movie just a few years ago… it was basically the day before it was announced that Guillermo Del Toro would be making a Frankenstein movie.

I also wished that I could have seen this movie in theaters. I love going to the movie theater as you might be able to tell… and I think this would have been a beautiful movie to see in theaters. I think seeing it with an audience would be fun.

What I really liked about this was the way the story was told. I loved that we learned a lot about Victor Frankenstein and his background and then we got Frankenstein the Monster’s point of view on things and it was great!

Overall I really loved this movie. I have to watch it again because I know I missed some things but I saw enough of the movie to know that it’s definitely in my top 10 for the year. I really enjoyed this one!

Bye!

-Shannon
