Throwback Thursday: All The Halloween Costumes I Remember

Okay so I have a lot of fond memories of Halloween and here are some costumes I remember. As a child and an adult too I guess.

So first off my favorite costume ever I think was my Pirate Costume that I got from the Pirates of The Carribean Gift Shop in Disney World. This was just a nice costume- and it came from the gift shop at Disney so it was special.

There are a few good Party City costumes I remember getting and one was a witch costume that was a shirt with pants and it was covered in a cobweb lace over it. It was really cute! I think they had a lot of different colors and I got the green one I think. This was just a different looking ghost costume- I think I was in fourth grade maybe when I wore it... and its in one of my favorite pictures that I have with my second grade teacher who is now a good friend of mine and my whole family... and we were both dressed as Witches- so that was cool!

There was also a really cool hippie costume I got from Party City. I think it was velvet floral and it had bell bottoms... it was really cool! I think it was similar to something Goldie Hawn wore in Laugh In- which I don't know and didn't know at the time at all... but I still really liked it and it was fun.

In middle school I think were some of my more memorable costumes... I watched a lot of E! TV when I was in Sixth Grade and at that time- you couldn't turn on the channel without seeing Paris Hilton. And that annoyed me because I didn't know who she was... so I dressed up as a dead version of her. Because why not! I used an old gothic looking dress of my sisters, a blonde wig, and I got a Purple Sparkly cape. I had makeup looking like a zombie... and no one knew what or who I was. A few days later the tape was released and... I wonder if people knew! I wonder what people thought!

The year after that I was really into a reality competition show in which people would compete in business challenges for a chance to work on a project with a very famous rich man. That rich man would fire someone at the end of each episode... you might know what show I'm talking about here and I'm not going to say who I dressed up as... but the costume had its irony. Masks of people are kind of hard to tell who the person actually did- and because it was right before the election of George W Bush and John Kerry- people thought I was dressed as one of those- and voiced their political opinions to me- who was in 7th grade. I just laughed and told them who I was dressed up as... and I thought "that's so funny. This celebrity reality tv host will never run for President."

Uhhh... I wish I hadn't thought that. Or I wish other people thought that was as funny of an idea as I did.

Anyway- uhhh I remember dressing up as the "ex wife" from Mean girls because I thought that was funny.

In my adult life I've dressed up as A Witch a few times and when I was in college I dressed up as a sexy cop. I've tried to dress up as Dana Scully from The X Files and Velma from Scooby Doo- but I've always gotten sick or almost got sick around the times the Halloween parties were! This year i think I might do some looks for this blog- I might be going to a cosplay party and wearing some costumes to work but... yeah I will show you guys anything I come up with!

Bye!
