25 Days of Romance Movies: Sleepless in Seattle

Okay- this is the last movie of my Romance Movie challenge... which was my hardest challenge so far. I'm not sure why I just got very tired of watching only romances pretty quickly and I really wanted to end this on Valentine's Day- but I was really busy that weekend... and I've just been busy with work. Today I believe the store is closed due to snow- I definitely couldn't come into work because I'm buried and I have a few days off. So I definitely have some time to read some movies, watch some books... just kidding I reversed those words.

Anyway Sleepless in Seattle is definitely a slow burn romance movie compared to similar ones that I've watched recently. In this movie Annie- Meg Ryan's Character falls in love with Sam- Tom Hanks- when she hears him on a radio show. His son called in saying that his dad needed a new wife after his mom died because he was so sad without anyone- and he didn't want his dad to be sad anymore. Sam goes on the radio show after and he's very sweet and sincere and several women send him letters asking to go out with him. His son is particularly fond of one from a woman named Annie.

Annie is engaged when she suddenly falls in love with this man that she does not know and does not live anywhere near her... and her fiance is practically perfect- but he just isn't perfect for her- and she confides in her best friend Rosie O'Donnell that somethings not really right and that she falls for this guy from the radio because of that.

Overall- this was not my favorite movie. I was not really in the mood for watching a slow burn and I wish there was a little bit more interaction between the two main characters- especially because I know how much Chemistry Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have together. I'm glad this was not their only movie together. This is also another movie with Rob Reiner in it- he was hilarious in this! I really liked him. I think this is a movie that maybe needs to be seen with an audience or something- it was good but it just wasn't really my favorite.

Also Meg Ryan, Rita Wilson and Rosie O'Donnell all looked gorgeous in this movie. Everyone in this movie did a great job and I think it is a good movie... I just didn't really like it that much and I'm not sure I would like it more on a re-watch... but I could see conditions where I'd like this more.

That is everything! Tomorrow I will try to have my rankings of these 25 Movies!

Bye!
