The Barbarian Review

Hey guys! I'm going to try to review all horror/spooky movies and books throughout October- but I think I'm going to skip the weekends! Anyway here's my review of the new movie The Barbarian which I saw in theaters knowing very little about the movie.

And honestly... I'm not going to give any details about this movie because that's kind of the way you should see it. It starts out with a Woman and a Man who both booked the same Airbnb house on the same day. The girl arrives second and she just decides to stay- the guy is a little weird but not that creepy... so she isn't that scared. That isn't what the movie is about at all really... but that's all I'll tell you lol.

I didn't find this movie particularly scary and the characters were all just kind of dumb... but it was very good. There were parts where the audience was laughing... the part before the real horror of the movie was actually more uncomfortable to me because of the awkwardness of it all. It just worked really really well. I guess that could make the other events of the movie scarier... but it didn't really for me.

Overall I would recommend seeing this in theaters or in a group setting because it's just a fun watch. I'm not sure how re-watchable it is- but I think I will buy it on Blu ray or dvd when it's released... but overall this is just a fun watch and I would recommend it.

I'd give it 4 stars maybe. Maybe 3 and a half but it was really a fun watch.

Bye!
