Shannon’s reviews: Monkeybone

Okay I'm going to try to do these mini reviews maybe 5 times a week? Possibly 7- but let's see what I can do here. The first review will be the Brendan Fraser dark comedy from 2001- Monkeybone!

So this was a dark comedy about a cartoonist who goes into a coma after a car accident and in this coma he goes to a cartoonish world with a lot of his art works in it- and somehow he gets stuck in the coma world and his most famous cartoon- Monkeybone ends up going to the real world in his body.

This movie sucks. It's not so bad it's good- it's not So bad that you want to turn it off... it's just uncomfortable to watch and Brendan Fraser is just... kind of an unlikable character. There's nothing in this movie that I would say is worth seeing or talking about. It wasn't bad enough to stop watching- but if I was seeing this in theaters I feel like I might walk out... it just sucked.
