Movie review: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Alright so last night I watched Wakanda Forever in theaters and it was really a beautiful movie and a sweet tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman. I feel for the cast of this movie that were in the first movie as well cause they weren't acting. You could tell they were really mourning the loss of their friend from the first movie and the heartbreak was very real. My heart goes out to all of them and Chadwick's friends and family.

That being said- I did watch the first Black Panther movie the night before watching this one, it's been so long and I didn't really remember everything that had happened in that movie... and while I think Wakanda Forever has a better plot and is a stronger movie- I really liked Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa and there really is no replacing him. I missed him and Michael B Jordan in this movie... they had good chemistry and they were just really good.

That being said though- I think Letitia Wright did an awesome job leading the movie. There were some really great side characters and the "villains" of

This movie were really good... they had a pretty cool design too. They show them in the trailer- but they looked way better in the movie and I don't really want to spoil where they are and how they come into play. And honestly they weren't really villains at all- Black Panther does a good job of having their characters be very multi dimensional... kind of makes me interested in reading the comics... I really liked it.

The one thing I have to mention though... the mid credits scene... there is no actual post credits scene- but we did get a mid credits scene that... makes me think they're already thinking of kind of doing a reboot movie. I think the guys next to me were movie critics or podcasters or something and they loved the movie, they had a great time... and then the mid credits scene happened and they both said "what???" So... yeah. I'd still say wait around for it- it's just a mid credits scene not a post credits scene but... it's not my favorite.

So overall I'd say this is a great movie. Check it out in theaters if you can- I saw it in IMAX and I really liked it! I don't like my theater's imax seating but... that's another story. This didn't utilize imax that well... but it still looked really great and I felt like I was right there in Wakanda lol.

Bye!
