Marvel Monday: Black Panther

So I know I just reviewed Wakanda Forever and I briefly mentioned that I watched the first Black Panther again the day before... and now I'm going to review that first movie... well okay it's not exactly going to be a review... more of like my thoughts while watching it.

I own black Panther on Blu Ray... and I watched it on Disney+ specifically because I know they have an imax version and I forgot to watch that Imax version... so I may watch that again in Imax just because... this is a good movie and... I want to feel like I'm in Wakanda lol 😂 I didn't see this movie in theaters and I think it would be cool to watch it that way. Plus I really love this movie. This is our only black panther movie starring Chadwick Boseman...plus it's the first Black Panther movie ever so... this will always be special and worth watching.

This movie feels almost like 2 movies because there's the stuff with Klaue which was cool and I kind of wish that was the whole movie... he's a good villain and it would have been cool to see more of him... but I think Killmonger is the better character and his relationship with Klaue does kind of make him more interesting. So I guess it still kind of works. I don't want to spoil Wakanda Forever at all but Killmonger is mentioned and I think it was a good mention... uhhhh I don't want to say too much about it but it was really good- especially after I JUST watched the first movie.

There were parts of this movie that felt like it was wayyy too long. I still really liked it- but there's a chunk close to the end that I just couldn't pay attention to. Maybe I will when I watch it in imax but I didnt on this viewing lol.

Anyway I would say I liked Wakanda Forever better as a whole movie than this one... but this one is still really really good and I do pretty much enjoy all marvel movies... and I'm going to do a rank of them all soon too. So right now my list is:

I will break it down by phase sometime when I watch them all and I'll keep you updated with the ranking.

I also think I'm going to keep up with these Marvel Monday's every Monday and I'll probably do more than watching the movies. I'd like to read the comics, watch the shows cause I haven't seen them all... and maybe talk about some opinions and some theories. I'm excited about this!
