The Mamma Mia Saga pt. 1

Okay so last night I couldn't get to sleep and I was thinking about the movie Mamma Mia- which is a really great movie musical and a really effective Jukebox Musical.... so that's cool.

Anyway spoilers for Mamma Mia but... you've seen it already if you're reading this. Anyway I love the ending of this movie. I love that Sophie just accepts that all 3 of the men are her dads and they all love her and want the best for her- but if I had to take a guess I would say it's Harry played by Colin Firth. I've always thought it was him- maybe I'm partial to Colin Firth... but I've just always wanted him to be the actual biological dad.

So there's no real reason why I think this. I think it's partially because of the movie What A Girl Wants where Colin Firth is the dad. But I like Harry as the dad.

I also like the fact that Colin Firth is actually gay in the movie and he comes out to everyone because of the wedding. That makes me think "ohhh wow this is nice that he has a daughter" even if it isn't his biological daughter that's still nice- but I just always kind of wanted it to be him.

My mom needed a refresher of who the dads were- I didn't tell her that I thought it was Colin Firth... but I said "Colin Firth- who is gay, Pierce Brosnan- who ends up with the mom or Stellan Skarsgard- the loner." And she said "for some reason I always thought it was the loner." So there you go. My mom thinks it's Stellan Skarsgard- my second pick for the dad and also Amanda Seyfried's pick. It also seems like he's the popular pick for the dad because Sophie is named after his great Aunt and there's a lot of references to him being family. Plus there was a cut scene that made Amanda Seyfried want him to be the real dad.

Also I'm just going to say it: the movie isn't as fun to me if it's Pierce Brosnan because he's Sophie's step dad anyway.

Anyway I looked up on Apple TV to see if I could watch the movie and they have the first movie on Amazon Prime- but they don't have the sequel... and I've never seen the sequel... so before I do my blog post officially declaring Colin Firth is in fact Sophie's father- I also need to see the sequel. So I ordered it from Amazon and I'm currently watching another Amazon show because I didn't want to watch Mamma Mia until I saw the sequel. So I'm watching Jury Duty- which I'm going to eventually talk about.

Bye!
