Foodie Tuesday: The IHOP Wonka Menu

So I'm always fascinated by the IHOP specialty menus that they do for certain movies...I would have loved to try the Minion one- but I'm not a big fan of banana... but this Wonka menu really had me intrigued. I wasn't really sure what to order! They had a lot of good things to choose from... and overall I was impressed!

To drink I got the Scrumdidiloumptious Strawberry Hot Chocolate and my boyfriend got the Dreamy Lemonade. I really liked both drinks- the waitress did tell us that these were hard to make... and we could see them in the kitchen making stuff and yeah- it seems like the cooks have a lot of work with the menu they have... but they did a perfect job. The hot chocolate tasted really good and it looked really nice too!

Aspen's Lemonade was also hard to make and it looked incredible! It had cotton candy on top and icing and sprinkles... I didn't even get the icing on the picture but it was good. This is something I would maybe want to make at home if I felt fancy like that. It was really good!

For our Entreess Aspen got the Wonka Burger- which he kinda liked but I don't think it was his favorite burger. I got the Perfectly Purple Pancakes... and they were really really good. I got the short stack and I got a side of bacon, eggs and hashbrowns with mine. The pancakes were really great- they had like a purple glaze and a cream cheese icing in the middle... they were really sweet and really good. I didn't think they would be good at all... but IHOP has some good food! It was really good!

The sides were not that great- but they did make it better for the pancakes to not be quite as sweet- so it was just that little bit of balance that I needed.

Overall this was a really filling meal... I liked it! I have a worse review coming next week... so be prepared but... this was great! I'd recommend getting it before it's gone!
